Wednesday Speed Workout - Boston
This workout comprises the following distances run at mile pace: 800m, 600m, 400m, 300m, 300m, 200m, and 200m, with a 2 min rest between each interval. This workout can be viewed as a deconstructed mile and is designed to provide the runner with an understanding of their physical and mental state during the later stages of the race. While the 2 min rest periods might feel insufficient for the longer repetitions, as the intervals get shorter, it will become adequate time for recovery, as you accumulate lactic acid and fatigue.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the workout will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. Post-run, we'll offer our weekly Core in the Store workout. As always, stick around for post-workout snacks and refreshments at the Trackhouse. These meet-ups are free and open to runners of all abilities. We are asking all runners joining us for the first time to fill out this waiver before arriving.
