A BETTER LAYER
While tights have their place in our workout wardrobe, it's hard to layer them over shorts. That's why we've always loved the classic track pant fit: roomy in the hips and thighs but tapered in the ankles. What we don’t love are heavy fabrics that don’t breathe. We designed the Solomon Track Pants in our stretchy, lightweight and breathable Inverno Blend to be that ideal cold day layer with room where you want it but a slim fit where you need it.
ZIP ON, ZIP OFF
The Solomon Track Pants function as a layering piece, which means they have to be easy to get on and off. We've included back zips and a stretchy “backstretch” waistband so you don't have to slip off your shoes. Zippered side pockets and a rear phone pocket provide options for storing personal items.
For Zipping Around
Thanks to the zipper running from the ankle to the low calf of the Solomon Pants, you can easily slip out of them post-warm up, without having to stop and untie your sneakers.
You Hold Your Pace
Pockets are important for holding keys, cash or a credit card. The zippered back pocket assures that what you’re storing will still be there when you reach for it.
OUR ITALIAN BLEND
Our Inverno Blend comes from Italy and is specially knit with a smooth yet durable face that fends off light precipitation and a brushed back that provides a barrier between you and the fabric – keeping you cool on days when summer hasn’t quite given in and warm when winter arrives. The micro-nylon and elastane blend is also quick-drying and feels buttery soft against your skin.
Surrounded by towering pines and sparkling brooks, the Solomon Track in Dedham, Massachusetts served the greater Boston and New England collegiate and club track fraternity for more than three decades. The track was named after Northeastern University’s trustee/benefactor Bernard "Bunny" Solomon, on May 17, 1986 at the 99th running of the New England Track & Field Championships. Many on the Tracksmith team have run here, which inspired the name of our new track pant.
