From Santa Monica To Las Vegas

The 2018 Relay Collection was inspired by the colors and landscapes of The Speed Project, a 340-mile unsanctioned relay race between Santa Monica and Las Vegas. We sent a team of four men and two women to put the kits through the most extreme wear-test ever in pursuit of the course record. Cut in a racing silhouette from our Bravio Blend, the Relay Singlet is made to weather running through the desert: light-as-air, quick drying and odor-resistant.

No Rules, Just Running

Inspired by the spirit of The Speed Project, challenging traditional running while celebrating the purity of competition, as well as the awe-inspiring landscape of the country between Santa Monica and Las Vegas, the 2018 Relay Kits are vibrant, bold, and pure - borrowing the race’s palette of the Pacific’s deep blues, Death Valley’s golden endless desert, and the vivid reds of sunrises and sunsets.

Made For 340 Miles

Our Relay Singlets are made from our Bravio fabric, a micro-polyester and elastane blend that’s lightweight, antimicrobial, and stretches and recovers to match your stride day after day, mile after mile. This Italian-engineered material is made on special high-gauge knitting equipment that creates small pointelle holes, which create more airflow and allow the fabric to dry more quickly. The result is a singlet you won’t even notice, even over 80 miles through the Mojave Desert and Death Valley.

A Beautiful Battle

The Speed Project 4.0 was a race to remember. In pursuit of the record - and the win - we faced off against The Sun Chasers from France, changing leads over the entirety of the race, including the last 6 hours during which we leapfrogged each other for 70 miles, changing runners every quarter. While we ultimately fell 10 minutes short of the win, our "beautiful battle" drove us to both break the record: 35:49 to 35:59.
