The Cap, Reconsidered
Relied on by everyone from sailors braving the North Atlantic to mountaineers in the Alps, the wool cap is one of the earliest pieces of performance gear. In the fifteenth century, Welsh knitters crafted the simple-yet-effective Monmouth Cap from 2-ply Ryeland wool, and it quickly became a wardrobe staple (helped by a law that required all British men to wear hats produced on the island). Today, it remains a cold-weather essential, made even better when delivered in soft yet durable 12-gauge, three-ply cashmere blend. Seventy-eight percent cashmere is reinforced with 22 percent polyester, which delivers all the performance benefits of a superfine wool with the stretch and durability of synthetics. Ribbed details help add structure to the waffle knit, and a small woven tab logo tops things off.

Head Games
While it’s a myth that 40% of your body heat escapes from your head, keeping it covered goes a long way in helping you feel warm on a chilly run. This cashmere knit beanie is several steps up from the cotton ones you got at the local turkey trot, and pairs better with your non-running gear, too.

Fit to Knit
This lightweight running beanie is knit from cashmere in an all-over waffle stitch for softness, texture, and breathability. We reinforced the ribbed brim with elastic for durability and finished it off with a subtle hit of our logo in a woven foldover tab.

NATURAL PERFORMANCE
Farm to Road
Like most runners, we’re obsessed with the process. This obsession transcends training – we’re fanatical about every detail of product development, starting with sourcing our fabrics. There’s something magical about taking a fiber from the farm and engineering it for the roads. The inherent performance benefits of Merino, cashmere, and cotton fibers mean we treat them with restraint. After a few thoughtful tweaks, they’re more than ready to run.
