Head Downeast
In New England, “Downeast” denotes the “never-never land always east of where you are.” The rocky region stretches from coastal Maine into the Canadian Maritime provinces and is the home to some of the most beautiful trails and oceanside running routes on the East Coast. Spending time Downeast in the winter requires warm, wearable layers. As such our Downeaster Pants are designed for comfort, combining the inherent properties of Merino wool in a pragmatic silhouette.

Double Down
The Downeaster Pants feature a double knit blend of 60% Merino wool and 40% polypropylene. The natural properties of Merino offer warmth, breathability and odor-resistance, while polypropylene improves wicking and insulation. Not only does polypropylene have the lowest thermal conductivity of any fiber, which means it holds onto heat the longest, it’s also hydrophobic, quickly pulling moisture (i.e. sweat) to the surface where it can evaporate, rather than be absorbed into the Merino. The end result is a warm and comfortable pant that you'll hate to take off.

Thoughtful Details
These pants feature inseam hand pockets and a hidden zip pocket at the back hip for storing essentials.

Relaxed & Ready
We designed these pants in an easy, relaxed fit with a tapered leg ending in a banded cuff. Plus, the encased elastic waistband ensures comfort, whether on the warm-up or the couch.

Hang Out
Eric, Ruben and Jason put the Downeaster Pants comfort to the test. Eric donned his after a sweaty 10-mile run for a cool down and some bagels. Ruben wore his for a Friday morning easy run, and Jason relaxed in his in-between a Saturday double.
