The brief is a staple of the competitive woman's racing wardrobe. They're a statement of intent: "I'm here to go fast." When asked by a runner to design a brief that could handle a marathon, we stepped up to the challenge. Cut from our Italian-made Inverno Blend, the Race Brief won't budge, even when you're making a move or kicking to the line.
80% Nylon / 20% Elastane

A good race brief can be hard to find. They’re either super technical, but only available to professional athletes, or cheaply-made for everyone else. When asked to make a brief, we knew it would come down to fit and fabrication. A good brief should stay in place and essentially "disappear" while racing—no budging or chafing. To accomplish this, we chose our Inverno fabric - the same ultra-soft nylon blend we use in our Turnover Tights and Bell Lap kit - and cut the brief with an eye for dignity and performance.
RACE TESTED OUTSIDE OF VEGAS
When things got tough in the last 50 miles of The Speed Project, Sam Roecker emerged from the back of the RV in her Race Briefs. She meant business, and stepped onto Route 160 for an 800-meter uphill segment, wowing everyone as she pulled the team back into contention. Her superhuman performance was a mix of talent and determination (and perhaps some Red Bull), but as she later admitted - putting on the briefs made her feel just a little faster and a little braver.
"The briefs were incredible. I was wearing them at the hottest part of the day, so they got pretty sweaty and gross. I didn't notice them getting wet or feeling weighed down. They didn't move around. Overall, A+. I would wear them in a marathon, which is the highest compliment I can give a pair of briefs."
