The Marathon course in London is quite literally genre-defining. The 1908 London Olympic Marathon set the standard of 26.2 miles that we run today, which added approximately 1.2 miles to finish in front of Buckingham Palace to define this iconic distance. With a winding course that traverses London’s many and varied neighborhoods, runners are treated to a coronation of their own as they tour this breathtaking city – one that feels equal parts party and race.
