We love Merino year-round, but especially in shoulder season when temperature and conditions often change quickly over the course of a run. Our lightest cold-weather running cap is delivered in the same Merino wool as our best-selling Harrier tops, offering a warm and wicking option for shoulder season running that is easily stored in a pocket as things heat up. For added protection, the eco-dry finish on the Thaw beanie repels water and mess.
This single-layer merino beanie provides lightweight warmth and extra protection against precipitation thanks to the water-repellant and PFC-free eco-dry finish.

The fabric finish was inspired by duck’s feathers, which repel water while maintaining breathability. Dashing through puddles and battling light rain, Mike put the finish to the test over seven miles.
The Thaw
In Vermont, they say there are five seasons: spring, summer, fall, winter and mud – when thawing snowmelt turns dirt roads and trails into a soggy mess. While it may not have achieved “season status” everywhere, that wet, mushy period between deep winter and early spring is a fact of life for many runners. We spend it leaping over slush puddles in old trainers that we don’t mind getting dirty. It’s the physical in-between. It’s the thaw. Inspired by this gloriously messy season, we updated our training staples to handle some serious splashes.
